![]() ![]() This offers the first Vermintide for $1, while the second tier at $10 offers Vermintide 2. Humble also introduced a Warhammer Vermintide Franchise Bundle just yesterday. The third and final tier costs $20 to pick up and only adds one item, that being a copy of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. This carries enhanced editions of Icewind Dale and Planescape for $1, followed by Neverwinter Nights Complete, alongside Baldur's Gate I, its DLC, and Baldur's Gate II for $10. Humble also brought in two new games bundles this week, and first up is the RPG Legends collection. You also get additional benefits like access to a selection of DRM-free games in the Humble Games Collection, and an increasing Humble Store discount. Steam has a new set of rules for video games sold on its platform, as from September 1 key art will no longer be allowed to display review scores or award logos. You receive all eight games if you join Humble Choice's $11.99 lone subscription tier. In an effort to make the games in your market clear and readable to customers, Video Game Key Art needs to promote the game and not its critical reception. There are plenty of other reasons for this change, ranging from Steam admitting its previous rules were vague to the fact that a game’s dedicated Steam page will still be able to display review scores and awards given to it.Īnother reason for the change is that some capsules include review scores that are no longer accurate, some praise can be misleading, and the default use of English isolates much of the Steam audience who don’t speak the language. ![]() “Press Review Quotes, Press Review Scores, and Special Awards all have dedicated spaces on Steam store pages where they can be consistently featured and where customers can expect to find that information,” Steam explained in its Blog. In short, if a game’s key art includes review scores, prize names, discounted marketing copy, text or images promoting a different product, or other miscellaneous text, those developers will need to draft updated key art for the game capsule. For those games that have seasonal events and updates, you’ll need to use artwork overrides which essentially apply a new layer over the existing image. There is a long list of video game covers that have used every possible pixel of space to include some marketing copy in an attempt to entice fans. Some of the more notable examples include Batman: Arkham City’s Game of the Year Edition which turned a great cover into a disaster, Uncharted 2 pitted Nathan Drake at a discount, and a full Gears of War 3 beta boot on the cover of Bulletstorm’s Epic Edition.Wouldnt a solid comparison be better made at the least common denominator? There are tweaks each system can do to enhance the visual presentation. A true comparative is generally done with the same settings on the same screen and the same screen shot. To use advanced features serves to show what each 'could' look like but there are also variances that the users will not be able to discern. Which is why doing them without all the bells and whistles is more accurate. It leave the chance that one is being favored over the other out of the equation. Once the basic comparisons are done.then they should up the visual ante by showing what this option does or that when it is turned on. This way it also helps those who may not be using these features to see if they make a difference to them on their tv. Not everyone uses the same setup and so not everyone needs those settings. Mistergaga X 3942d ago (Edited 3942d ago ) It is a try and see if it makes a difference and if you are satisfied with the results kind of thing. I thought this game was a ps3 lead platform title, resulting in better image quality on ps3 hardware. Just proves again that the 360 is a beast of a gaming machine. Looks and plays smoother plus the dual shock 3 controller is more refine for basketball maybe ? Resident Evil Racoon City ( made by capcom and have 1 more year experience on the 360 than with PS3, so the 360 has the edge I think ) Mass Effect 3 (entire trilogy), 360 no iffs or butts -)) Įx : Need for Speed ''The Run'', PS3 ( by a mile too !) Most exclusives and some multi-plat titles look awesome on both consoles. ![]() I say PS3 just becuase Konami started the series on the PSX. ![]()
